Gambling Family Study

We are conducting a confidential study that explores gamblers’ personality, abilities, and other experiences. This study is looking at the risk factors for gambling to help us better understand why some individuals might develop problems with gambling, and why others do not.

If you are eligible to participate, you would be asked to come to the University of Calgary for some interviews, questionnaires, and cognitive testing. There are two sessions, and each session lasts about 2-4 hours. You will be compensated $90.00 and parking costs will be covered. If you are interested in participating, please call (403)220-4238 or send us an email at

This study has been approved by the University of Calgary Conjoint Faculties Research Ethics Board.
